DMN: A look at five potential impact newcomers for TCU in 2016

Several members of TCU’s 2015 signing class received playing time last season, and a handful made significant contributions as first-year Horned Frogs.

Will the same be said about some of the program’s 2016 signees a year from now?

Here are five potential impact newcomers for TCU next season:

Isaiah Chambers, defensive end / 6-foot-3.5, 258 pounds / Aldine MacArthur HS / 4 stars
The highly sought-after Chambers received 29 offers — per 247Sports — and picked TCU over Texas, Texas A&M and Miami. He registered a whopping 21 sacks and 36 tackles for loss as a junior, doing so for a Class 6A program. TCU loses a pair of ends, so Chambers should get the opportunity to compete for snaps early. It only helps that he’s coming to Fort Worth with a build coach Gary Patterson calls “already ready-made” for the college level. His blend of size and speed off the snap will be a welcome addition. …
