FWST: Patterson: Turpin, Schlottman could return ‘in a couple of weeks’

TCU coach Gary Patterson said it’s possible center Austin Schlottman and receiver KaVontae Turpin return to action this month.

“We think maybe here in a couple of weeks, we’ll get a chance for both those guys to come back,” Patterson said Monday during the Big 12 coaches conference call.

Turpin has been out since the third quarter of the Iowa State game in Week 3, reportedly with a torn knee ligament that did not require surgery. He led the nation in all-purpose yardage when he was hurt and was coming off back-to-back games with a career-high seven catches.
