FORT WORTH TEXAS, Ia. — Iowa State wide receiver Allen Lazard’s success so far this season has caught the attention of many after leading the Big 12 Conference in receiving yards through the team’s first two games.
Lazard has been so good that Texas Christian decided to give him even more attention.
The Horned Frogs doubled-up on Lazard throughout the day and limited him to just one catch during Iowa State’s 41-20 loss at Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
“It’s something that’s very hard to swallow — especially when you see your team is struggling,†Lazard said. “You just want to be able to go out there and be able to make plays and help the team get the offense rolling and stuff, and we weren’t able to do that.â€
