Times of San Diego: Rangers in trade talks for Cashner

According to Jeff Wilson of the FW Star Telegram, the San Diego Padres are discussing a deal that would send pitcher Andrew Cashner to the Texas Rangers.

The Rangers reportedly had high interest in acquiring Drew Pomeranz before a deal was struck with the Boston Red Sox. 

Cashner would, however, come at less of a cost for the Rangers.

Among starting pitchers #Rangers are targeting is Padres RHP Andrew Cashner, the former first-round pick from TCU.
