The Arizona Republic: ASU baseball opens postseason at TCU regional

Arizona State baseball clawed its way into the NCAA Tournament, earning a trip to Fort Worth, Texas, as a No. 2 seed at the TCU regional.
ASU (34-21) is an at-large selection in the 64-team NCAA field, announced Monday. The Sun Devils play No. 3 seed Gonzaga (35-19) at noon Friday followed by No. 1 seed TCU (42-15) against Oral Roberts (38-19). The regional is double elimination with the winner advancing to a best-of-three super regional against the winner at the Texas A&M regional. Texas A&M is the No. 4 national seed.
Arizona (38-20) also is a No. 2 seed, opening against Sam Houston State (41-20) at the Louisiana Lafayette regional. Lafayette (41-19) faces Princeton (24-19). The winner of that regional plays the winner of the Mississippi State regional in a super regional. Â Mississippi State is the No. 6 national seed. …
