GoFrogs: Ronnie Baker Earns Conference Honor
FORT WORTH — Ronnie Baker was named the Big 12 Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Baker has earned three conference honors so far this season.
The Bowerman Watch List selection had a productive weekend at the 2016 Texas Relays. Baker anchored the 4×100 relay, bringing TCU a gold medal as they clocked in with an NCAA-leading time of 39.08. The team’s time ranks sixth in the world this season. Following the relay, Baker took home bronze in the 100-meter dash invitational against a highly competitive field that featured international athletes and four professionals.
Baker, out of more than 7,500 athletes, was named the Texas Relays’ Most Outstanding Performer.
Baker and the Horned Frogs will head to Tucson, Ariz. for the Jim Click Shootout on Saturday, April 9.
