GoFrogs: Graebe Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month
IRVING, Texas — TCU freshman Brooke Graebe has been named the Big 12 Women’s Golfer of the Month for March.
A native of Yorba Linda, Calif., Graebe took medalist honors at the Notre Dame Clover Cup with a career best 6-under-par 210. She carded a career-low 67, one stroke off a school record, in the opening round. In final-round play, she birdied her final two holes and four of the last six.
Graebe became TCU’s first medalist since April McCoy won the 2012 Windy City Collegiate Classic. Graebe was the first TCU freshman to win a tournament since Valentine Derrey, in her first collegiate event, at the 2007 Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
Graebe closed the month by winning three of four matches at the San Diego State March Mayhem.
For the year, Graebe has a season-best 73.9 stroke average with six top-20 finishes in eight tournaments.
