WACO, Texas – The TCU volleyball team struggled offensively on the road as No. 24 Baylor came away with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-18) victory on Wednesday night inside The Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.Big runs by the Bears (19-5, 9-2 Big 12) in the early parts of each set ultimately hurt the Horned Frogs (10-12, 2-8 Big 12) as they were held to a .071 hitting clip in the match. After falling behind 2-0 in the match, TCU began the third set with a 4-0 lead following back-to-back aces from Kaylee Smith but Baylor did not give up as they stormed back to even up the set at 8-8. The Frogs would take back the lead one more time until the Baylor offense took control of the set to finish out the match in a sweep.Anna Walsh led TCU offensively with seven kills in the match while Abigail Buckingham and Sarah Swanson each put down six kills apiece. Dani Dennison led the defense with nine digs while Berklie Baker, Ashleigh Martin and Lamprini Konstantinidou each picked up five digs.Notes-TCU drops to 10-12 on the season and 2-8 in Big 12 matches with the loss to Baylor-With the win by the Bears, Baylor sweeps the season series-Baylor picks up win No. 13 in the all-time series and leads TCU at 13-7-Anna Walsh led the team offensively for the ninth time this season with seven kills in the match to go along with a team-best three blocks-Dani Dennison paced the back row defensively with nine digs in the match-Sarah Swanson totaled six kills on the night and a .333 hitting clip to mark the fourth time this season hitting above .300-Kaylee Smith led the team from behind the service line for the eighth time this season with two in the matchUp NextTCU will return home as they welcome No. 12 Kansas to The Rickel for a showdown on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m.
