After splitting a pair of games in Las Vegas last week, the Washington basketball team was back in action Wednesday night at TCU’s Schollmaier Arena. The Huskies (4-3) were defeated by the Horned Frogs (7-0) 80-93 on Saturday, but a rematch in Fort Worth on Wednesday provided the UW with a chance for revenge.
Washington couldn’t take advantage, falling 71-86 to TCU despite leading by 17 at one point in the first half.
Washington jumped out to an early lead over TCU in the first half. True freshman guard Markelle Fultz knocked down a three pointer and was fouled, converting the four-point play at the line to give the Huskies an 8-2 lead.
