The Register-Herald: No. 12 Mountaineers now have to beware the hype

Prior to Saturday’s game against Texas Tech, WVU quarterback Skyler Howard said he liked the atmosphere at AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas.
It was taken as a humorous reference because the fans were said to throw out tortillas and waffles for morning games.
But after Saturday’s destruction of Texas Tech — a 48-17 WVU win — it must have been more than the food that Howard liked.
The senior from Fort Worth, Texas, returned to his home state and had what many are referring to as his best overall game as a Mountaineer.
