NJ.com: What Eagles fans need to know about Halapoulivaati Vaitai

PHILADELPHIA — The plan could change, and very well might.

For now, as the Eagles take the practice field at the NovaCare Complex, Wednesday, without suspended right tackle Lane Johnson, rookie Halapoulivaati Vaitai will be with the first-team offensive line. If all goes as expected he will start Sunday when the team plays the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field.

Here’s some of what you need to know about the 6-6, 315-pound Vaitai.

3 Brothers: Vaitai played his high school football at Haltom High in Haltom, Texas. He was the anchor of an offensive line that also included his two younger brothers, Will and Kevin.
