USA Today: Halapoulivaati Vaitai has made great strides since be drafted by the Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles selected two of their 2016 NFL Draft picks on offensive linemen to develop into personal protectors for their top draft pick, Carson Wentz. Isaac Seumalo was taken in the third round while Halapoulivaati Vaitai was one of Philadelphia’s fifth-round selections (No.164 overall).
Howie Roseman spoke very highly of Vaitai during the Eagles post-draft press conference.
“He’s got all the tools. ‘Big V’ has tremendous size and length,” Roseman said. “He’s a guy that when you talk to our coaching staff, they would take him anywhere in the draft because of the rare tools that he possesses. He’s got all the tools in his body to be a good player.”
The 6-foot-6, 315-pound tackle has the size and athleticism that makes coaches very eager to work with him. However, coming from the spread offense at TCU, Vaitai entered the NFL as a very raw player.
