TCU heads to Lawrence on Saturday to take on Kansas. Here’s five key things to know about the Jayhawks:

They’re helmed by a (sort of) new quarterback

Montell Cozart and Ryan Willis have split time behind center all season, but Cozart has had the majority of snaps thus far, starting every game. That changes Saturday, as Willis, a sophomore who started the final eight games of his freshman year, will lead off against the Frogs. The two quarterbacks run a similar style of offense, Patterson said, and having the tape from Willis’s start against TCU last year will help.

KU has two clear standouts at receiver

The Frogs have faced big, elite wideouts in their last few games in Allen Lazard, Courtland Sutton, and Mark Andrews. The Jayhawks’ squad may not have the size at the receiver position, but they’re still plenty talented. LaQuvionte Gonzalez and Steven Sims are both 5’10”, but they’re the primary pass catching targets for KU.  Sims has 5 TDs thus far, while Gonzalez leads the team with 23 catches.
