TCU head coach Gary Patterson, center Patrick Morris and defensive end James McFarland spoke to the media Tuesday for the weekly press conference. Here’s the five things Frog fans need to know:
Patrick Morris is ready to lead.
The former guard shifted over to center after Austin Schlottman went down against SMU, and he’s quickly adjusted to his new role. “It’s the exact same, you just have to call everything out. At the end of the day, you block with your hands and your feet.” As far as the pressure of calling out responsibilities, Morris says it “isn’t a big deal” because he had experience in the offense from his guard position. Even the defensive players have taken notice — McFarland praised Morris’s versatility, saying that “he’ll kick if he has to.”
