DMN: Kenny Hill’s penalized gesture was religious symbol, not throat slash, TCU coach Patterson says

TCU quarterback Kenny Hill was making a religious gesture rather than a throat-slash taunt when he was penalized on Saturday against Arkansas, Horned Frogs head coach Gary Patterson said.
The gesture means “Rising King” in sign language, according to the coach.
Patterson told reporters on the Big 12 coaches’ call that he found out about the meaning of the gesture after the game on Monday.
