TCU’s 41-38 loss to Arkansas snapped a 14-game home winning streak and was the first out-of-conference loss for the Frogs since the 2013 opener against LSU. Here’s the notable quotes from the postgame press conference.
Head coach Gary Patterson, on his team’s current status:
“You’d have to feel positive. We got a lot of football left, and I don’t think we’ve played our best football yet.”
Patterson, on the Frogs’ last drive in regulation:
“We just didn’t wanna screw up clocking it, everything else that you do wrong…we weren’t supposed to throw it, just so you understand. We weren’t supposed to throw a fade, [Hill] checked to it, on the last play before we kicked the field goal, if you noticed I wasn’t very happy. It was supposed to be a run to the middle of the field. And he checked to it because of what they lined up in. No! We win. Not very happy. So if you wanna know something I’m not happy with, we checked to a fade when it was second and whatever and we had 27 seconds left and we had a chance to win.”
