FWST: TCU injury list much shorter this September

TCU football coach Gary Patterson declared his team’s injury situation coming out of its opener much-improved from this time last season, when September games offered a recurring reason to tweak the depth chart as players disappeared for extended periods.
The Horned Frogs, who lost four defensive starters to season-ending injuries within the first three games last season (as well as the departure of starting linebacker Mike Freeze after one game), should be at close to full strength physically for Saturday’s battle against Arkansas in Amon G. Carter Stadium (6 p.m., ESPN).
“We really didn’t have anything banged up,†Patterson said during Tuesday’s news conference.
