Log Cabin Democrat: Lots of correcting to do for both Hogs and Frogs

FAYETTEVILLE — The odds going into Saturday would have would have Arkansas coach Bret Bielema and his staff and TCU coach Gary Patterson and his staff would spend Sunday watching more of their opponent’s Saturday game film than their own.
They would have been wrong.
After Arkansas escaped the 26-point underdog Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and J’mar Smith, their backup quarterback, 21-20 at Reynolds Razorback Stadium, Bielema and his staff have more worries about correcting the Razorbacks’ performance than scouting what Patterson’s Horned Frogs are doing.
Ditto Patterson and his Big 12 staff concerning the Razorbacks. At their Amon Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, the nationally 13th-ranked Horned Frogs Saturday were tied at half with 35-point underdog, FCS’ South Dakota State. With 11:57 left in the gme they only led the Jackrabbits 45-41 before prevailing 59-41.
