FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas travels to Fort Worth, Texas this week to renew an old Southwest Conference rivalry against No. 13 TCU. But in present times, Razorbacks offensive coordinator Dan Enos equates the matchup to being like another SEC game on the schedule.

“It’s SEC football,” Enos said Monday of the matchup. “Might as well add another SEC game for us.”

And to an extent, he’s right.

Though in actuality TCU is in the Big 12, its defense has been SEC-like in recent years. Despite ranking just 63rd in total defense last season, the Horned Frogs routinely have had at least a top-25 defense under coach Gary Patterson. In each season from 2008-10, TCU was ranked No. 1.

“They’re obviously extremely well-coached,” Enos said. “They play their scheme, that 4-2-5 that Coach (Gary) Patterson kind of created way back when this thing all evolved. He’s kind of the guy that did it and very rarely can you say that in football these days.”
