FORT WORTH — Defense, traditionally TCU’s backbone, resembled a different body part Saturday night against South Dakota State.
Soft underbelly, perhaps?
On a day when ranked teams were dropping all over the place, the Horned Frogs survived with a potent offensive push in the second half that gave them a 59-41 victory over the Jackrabbits, a good Football Championship Subdivision team, but an FCS team nonetheless.
A team the Frogs were expected to dominate.
Never happened, at least not on the defensive side of the ball.
