TCU was expected to cruise to an easy win over South Dakota State, but the Jackrabbits gave the Frogs all they could handle in a 59-41 game that TCU eventually pulled out.
Here are five key takeaways from tonight’s matchup:
Kenny Hill will be just fine as the starting QB.
Hill had an up-and-down first half. He looked cool and commanding in the early moments, leading a lightning-quick touchdown drive in the first quarter, but threw interceptions on back to back throws in the second quarter and couldn’t get a rhythm for much of the half. He righted the ship a little, using his legs to score just before halftime and engineering two scoring drives to start the second half.
