GoFrogs: Fans Encouraged to Showcase College Colors

FORT WORTH, Texas – The college football season is fast approaching, the sounds of tailgates will soon fill cities nationwide once again, and fans are already picking out which attire they’ll don to show their true colors all season long.

On September 2, the 12th annual College Colors Day celebration will kick it all off as fans unite to show their spirit and pride. Whether you’re at the game, watching from home, at your workplace, sounding off on social media, or anywhere else, your fellow fans will know exactly which college colors you represent. Every school will start with the same record, anticipation runs high for a title run, and all college fans will be prepared to literally wear their passion on their sleeve.

Last year’s celebration saw the biggest College Colors Day ever with over 70 athletes, celebrities and musicians joining thousands that showcased their fandom for their alma mater and favorite schools, and expectations for this year’s celebration are even bigger. This year, when you visit CollegeColorsDay.com, not only will you be able to create your own shareable, custom avatar, leaving no doubt which school you’ll be supporting this season, you can also register to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the pinnacle of college football competition. Three lucky fans from across the country will be awarded the prize of experiencing the College Football Playoff National Championship in Tampa, Florida. The tickets to the game will be provided by College Football Playoff and Extra Yard for Teachers, the College Football Playoff’s primary charity partner that empowers and honors the teachers that help student-athletes across the country realize their dream of attending college.

On September 2, Horned Frogs fans are encouraged to show their camaraderie and support for TCU to all college football fanatics across the social media landscape. On Facebook, fans can add a custom TCU frame to their profile picture starting August 22, so be sure to check the TCU Athletics page to add your own. Also, sharing imagery and video in purple and white across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram while using the hashtag #CollegeColors could also find fans in some brand new gear for sharing their support, so don’t forget to stand up and share which colors you’ll be representing all year.
