DMN: ‘Trill’ is gone, but ex-Aggies QB Kenny Hill is back

FORT WORTH — Kenny Hill will usher in a new era at TCU on Saturday in the season opener against South Dakota State.
Replacing a quarterback of Trevone Boykin’s caliber is never easy. But then, not much has been easy in Hill’s college career, which started with a massive bang when he threw for 511 yards in his first start at Texas A&M in 2014.
Now, after a well-chronicled flameout with the Aggies, the creation (and subsequent burden) of a clever nickname and a transfer to TCU, the former Southlake Carroll standout is back.
Just ask his teammates, like Josh Carraway, the Horned Frogs’ preseason All-Big 12 defensive end who has to chase Hill around in practices. Though he can’t hit the quarterback in scrimmages, Carraway has gained a profound respect for Hill.
