San Antonio Express-News: Jordan Moore contrasts Frank Wilson and Gary Patterson

New UTSA safety Jordan Moore had a chance to play three years at TCU as a wide receiver and running back after being recruited by the Horned Frogs.

Moore has already detected an interesting contrast between first-year UTSA coach Frank Wilson and veteran TCU coach Gary Patterson.

“Football is football,” Moore said. “And Coach Wilson brings a different approach to the game from both sides. It’s a totally different coaching style. Both of them, they get the job done, but at the end of the day I’m here.

“Coach Patterson is a great coach and no knock to him. And it’s the same type of defensive system. I just feel like I’m older now and my football IQ is on a totally different level and I understand it here. I’m accomplished, I’m probably one of the most decorated athletes in the country as far as both sports go. It’s a different type of sytem, a different type of feel. But it’s still a big program.”
