FWST: TCU depth chart shows new starting receivers Williams, Porter

On the same day Kenny Hill was named starting quarterback, TCU released a depth chart showing new starters at receiver, tight end, defensive tackle and free safety.

Taj Williams, rated the No. 1 receiver in junior college last season, exits fall camp as the starting X-receiver, and Emanuel Porter won the job at the Y-receiver, the spot played by Josh Doctson.

At tight end, Cole Hunt is listed as the starter. He is the brother of former center Joey Hunt, and coach Gary Patterson said he has rare skill for a TCU tight end.

“We haven’t really had a tight end in a while that could block and also run vertical and catch balls,” Patterson said.
