KillerFrogs Top 25

Each week during the College Football season KillerFrogs is going to release a Top 25.  While not up to the purely objective standards of the Barry Alvarez Invitational Committee, we will do our best to create a weekly poll that reflects who we believe to be the top 25 teams each week.

Released each Tuesday morning, this just for fun poll will give us something to argue about midweek, generate interest outside of our state and conference, and elevate the already high minded conversation on this board.

I NEED VOTERS!  If you are interested in being a voting member please message me (PastorFrog).  This is a weekly poll.  It needs to be in my inbox Monday at lunch.  15 weeks is a grind and requires more than simply saying “TCU is number one and Baylor can suck it.”  (Though that is a perfectly acceptable verbal response if you are Baptist in a Sunday School Class full for Baylor grads.)  If you want in, you are in each week.  Bleed Purple Or Bleed Out.  Once the Alvarez Selection Committee begins releasing their poll we will add our own playoff choices.

The top 24 will be our pick, top to bottom, of the best teams in the country.  Number 25 will be the team we believe is being pumped up by the media.  They may well be a top 15 teams, but the ESPN talking heads are determined to convince you that Texas/Miami/Georgia/UCLA is BACK!  If Texas beats Notre Dame, imagine what a beating that next week is going to be.  We all know some fool will announce they are making the playoff.  Team 25 Hype Machine Pick will also need a paragraph explanation if you are a voter.

Here is the Preseason Top 25.  We’d love to have you as a voter this season.

1- Clemson
2- Alabama
3- Oklahoma
4- FSU
5- Ohio State
6- Stanford
7- LSU
8- TCU
9- UH
10- Notre Dame
11- Michigan
12- Ole Miss
13- Boise State
14- OSU
15- Iowa
16- Tennessee
17- Michigan State
18- Louisville
19- Georgia
20- Washington
21- Texas
22- Miami
23- USC
24- UNC
25- UCLA

We open the season with UCLA at 25. They have the “Rosen” one at QB, with a Head Coach who hates Bill Snyder. Quick: when did UCLA last win a BCS/NY6 Bowl? 98 Cotton Bowl and the 85 Rose Bowl.  They make Aggies look like overachievers.  How fitting that UCLA and Texas A&M open the season against each other.  PILLOW FIGHT!
