GoFrogs: Del Conte Announces Athletics Administration Restructuring

FORT WORTH, Texas — TCU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Chris Del Conte has announced a restructuring of the athletics administrative staff.

“The focus of these organizational changes, effective immediately, are to provide the very best service to our student-athletes and coaches,” Del Conte said. “I am excited for the future of our department. We have the top people in the business in their respective fields. This restructuring will enable us to further grow the momentum in our program and be better positioned to fill the needs of our internal constituents as well as our many external stakeholders, such as donors and season-ticket holders, who make significant investments in us.”

•Jeremiah Donati will now serve as Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs. In addition to his current leadership and oversight of TCU’s athletics development team, Frog Club and ticket operations, Donati will oversee the marketing and communications offices. He will also be responsible for oversight of TCU’s partnership with multimedia rights holder IMG.

•Mike Sinquefield will serve as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Internal Affairs. Sinquefield will continue to oversee the Football program while serving as the department’s Human Resources liaison and assisting Del Conte in oversight of all internal affairs, including work with the Board of Trustees and departmental office administration.

•After many years of service in athletics business, Jack Hesselbrock will transition to Senior Associate Athletics Director for Sport Administration with oversight of the Men’s Basketball, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Golf, and the Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving programs.

•New to the TCU Athletics team will be Kenneth Janak, who will take over the role of Senior Associate Athletics Director, Athletics Financial Officer. He comes to Athletics after serving as TCU’s Assistant Vice Chancellor for Finance. Janak and his staff, Assistant Athletics Director for Athletics Business John Daniel and Associate Business Manager Jeanette Bradley, will focus solely on the financial operations of the department.

•The remainder of the Senior Associate Athletics Directors will remain unchanged. Kim Johnson, Senior Associate Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator, serves as Title IX Coordinator and will provide support and oversight to Women’s Basketball, Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Track & Field and Men’s and Women’s Tennis as well as the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. Gretchen Bouton, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student Services, provides leadership for all areas that touch student-athletes. This includes Academic Services, Compliance, Equipment, Sports Medicine, Student-Athlete Development and Strength and Conditioning. T. Ross Bailey, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Facilities and Operations, will continue to oversee TCU’s facilities, game-day operations and the Baseball, Rifle and Equestrian programs.

•Del Conte added three members to his Senior Staff. Drew Martin will now serve as Associate Athletics Director for Marketing and Licensing. In addition to his current leadership of Marketing, Licensing, and Spirit, Martin is over TCU’s new Video Production Department. Ike Ukaegbu will serve as Associate Athletics Director for Compliance, and Shawn Worthen as Associate Athletics Director of Academic Services.

•Several department heads were elevated to Associate Athletics Directors, including Sean Conner, Ticket Operations; David Gable, Sports Medicine; and Mark Cohen, Communications.
