GoFrogs: Baseball to Return to Minute Maid Tourney
FORT WORTH, Texas — The TCU baseball team will return to Houston next year to compete in the 2017 Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic at Minute Maid Park.
The Horned Frogs, coming off their third straight College World Series appearance, will face LSU (March 3, 7 p.m.), Texas A&M (March 4, 7 p.m.) and Ole Miss (March 5, 2:30 p.m.). Baylor and Tech Tech complete the six-team field.
TCU will be making its seventh appearance at the event. The Horned Frogs were named the 2016 champions after finishing 3-0 with wins over La.-Lafayette, Rice and Houston.
Overall, the Horned Frogs are 11-7 in the tournament with an 8-4 mark under head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
