St. Louis Review: St. Louisan puts strong faith, arm to use at TCU

Praise came from Baseball America, D-1 Baseball.com, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram — even the St. Raphael the Archangel Parish bulletin.
The compliments were for pitcher Brian Howard, a St. Raphael School and St. Louis University High School graduate, picked by the Houston Astros in the 17th round of the Major League Baseball draft. Though he’s honored to have been chosen, he will return to Texas Christian University for his senior year, seeking a national championship and holding onto the potential of being a higher draft choice next year. His TCU team this year finished within a game of the championship series.
“I want to go back my senior year and hopefully go out the right way,” he said. “I don’t feel like I’ve contributed everything I can to this university yet.”
