GoFrogs: Story Set For Olympic Trials In Omaha

Psych Sheet

OMAHA, Neb. — The TCU baseball team won’t be the only Horned Frogs competing in Omaha this weekend.

Ford Story, who earned his TCU degree this spring, will be swimming the 100-meter breaststroke at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at the CenturyLink Center on Sunday, June 26. Story will enter the event with a seeded time of 1:03.42.

Story notched his spot at the Trials way back in December when he logged a qualifying time of 1:03.46, better than the standard of 1:03.69.

The Houston, Texas native closed out his collegiate career by claiming a Big 12 Championship in the 100-yard breaststroke with a school-record time of 53.24. His gold medal marked the second Big 12 championship in the program’s history.

This event serves as the only selection meet for the U.S. Olympic Swim Team competing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The Trials will be shown exclusively across NBC networks and mobile platforms. Prelims will be live daily at 10 a.m. CDT on the NBC Sports Extra app. The NBC Sports Network will broadcast the prelims from 5-6 p.m. on Sunday, while the finals will shown on NBC at 7-8 p.m.
