OMAHA, NEB. – Some of the numbers, notes and quotes from TCU’s 6-1 victory against Coastal Carolina in the College World Series on Tuesday (game recap here):
NotablesTCU improved to 8-6 all-time at the College World Series and is 2-0 for the first time. The Horned Frogs are 45-32 all-time in NCAA postseason games. They are 7-1 in the 2016 NCAA tournament.
TCU homered in its 41st game, improving to 35-6 in those games and 11-0 when Luken Baker homers. He had three hits against Coastal Carolina, making him 14-for-30 in the 2016 NCAA tournament, and has hit safely in four consecutive at-bats.
