Bryan-College Station Eagle: Uncharacteristic mistakes cost Texas A&M as TCU wins deciding game of Super Regional

Texas A&M came out on the worse end of five unearned runs, and saw its season end with a 4-1 loss to TCU in the deciding game of the College Station Super Regional on Sunday at Blue Bell Park.
TCU (47-16) advanced to its third straight CWS with the win, while the Aggies’ season finished at 49-16. A&M was hoping to get to Omaha for the first time since 2011.
“They gave each other everything they had for the last two years and made it fun and did it the right way,†A&M coach Rob Childress said. “[I’m] broken-hearted for them that they don’t get to experience the greatest place on earth if you are in the sport of baseball.â€
