UC Santa Barbara, Coastal Carolina, Miami, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech won their best-of-three super regionals Sunday to join Arizona in reaching the College World Series.

But it was Santa Barbara and Coastal Carolina, both making their first CWS trip, that won in the most dramatic way with road sweeps over No. 2 national seed Louisville and No. 8 LSU. Sam Cohen’s walk-off pinch grand slam off star closer Zack Burdi in the bottom of the ninth inning for a 4-3 victory stands as the biggest hit in the history of a program that had made nine previous NCAA tournament appearances but never got out of regionals.

Coastal Carolina watched LSU tie it 3-3 in the top of the ninth before Michael Paez’s single to left scored Anthony Marks in the bottom of the inning for a 4-3 win.
