Houston Chronicle: TCU embraces the role of road warriors in super regional

COLLEGE STATION – If TCU had its druthers, it would have played an NCAA Tournament super regional in Lupton Stadium. Playing one at Texas A&M hasn’t been so bad, though, for a Horned Frogs squad priding itself on toughness on the road.
“You can’t start preparing for stuff like this three or four days before you do it,” TCU coach Jim Schlossnagle said of playing away from home with a season on the line. “You have to prepare for it all year.”
The Horned Frogs appeared to have been preparing for this weekend all year, with an 8-2 victory over A&M in the first game of the super regional on Friday night at Blue Bell Park. The second game was late Saturday night, with TCU entering the contest one victory from its third consecutive College World Series appearance in Omaha, Neb.
