Bryan-College Station Eagle: Leadoff hitter Moss jump-starts Texas A&M offense

Nothing like a leadoff home run to relax the troops.

J.B. Moss’ blast off the scoreboard on the game’s second pitch jump-started Texas A&M to a 7-1 victory over TCU on Saturday night, evening their best-of-3 Super Regional series.

It was a total reversal from Game 1 when the top-ranked Aggies were as uptight as a liberal forced to attend a Donald Trump fundraiser. They didn’t hit, pitch or field when it mattered most in the 8-2 loss. It’s called pressure.

It’s one thing to be good enough through 62 games to be one of favorites to reach the College World Series, but often getting those last two victories are the toughest.
