GoFrogs: Four Baseball Freshman Earn Postseason Honors

FORT WORTH – Four members of the TCU baseball team have been honored by Louisville Slugger as Freshmen All-Americans. The four selections are the most in a single season for the Horned Frogs.

Luken Baker, the 2016 Big 12 Freshman of the Year, paces the league with his .382 average, 84 hits and 54 RBIs. He was the MOP of the Big 12 Championship in addition to earning a spot on the NCAA Fort Worth All-Regional team.

Durbin Feltman is the first freshman since Alex Young in 2013 to lead the team in saves. In 24 appearances out of the bullpen this season, Feltman is 3-0 with seven saves. He boasts a 1.88 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 28 2/3 innings.

Dalton Horton has made 12 starts as part of 13 appearances this season. He is 8-0 and has a 2.58 ERA in 59 1/3 innings pitched.

Josh Watson, TCU’s home run leader with 11, is one of four Horned Frogs to have started all 60 games this season. He is hitting .282 this season with 11 stolen bases and 44 RBIs.

Since Jim Schlossnagle took over the program in 2004, TCU has produced 22 Freshmen All-Americans. The 2016 roster features six members that have been earned that distinction.
