FWST: Cameron Norrie of TCU falls in semifinals; Frogs golfers miss cut

From staff and wire reports

Cameron Norrie of TCU fell to top-ranked Mikael Torpegaard of Ohio State 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday in the semifinals of the NCAA Division I men’s tennis championship in Tulsa.

Norrie was the first singles player in school history to reach the final round.

“What a great tournament and a great season for Cameron,” TCU coach David Roditi said. “Only one player gets to leave the tournament feeling amazing, but Cameron did make history for TCU men’s tennis here and he should be very proud of his accomplishments.”

Norrie is the sixth player in program history to be named an ITA singles All-American twice and the first TCU player to make back-to-back appearances in the Elite Eight.
