FWST: TCU’s Cameron Norrie reaches Round of 16 at NCAA Championships

Cameron Norrie of TCU reached the Round of 16 at the NCAA Division I men’s tennis singles championships by beating Sam Shropshire of Northwestern 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 on Thursday in Tulsa.
Teammate Alex Rybakov fell to Skander Mansouri of Wake Forest 7-6 (4), 6-4.
“With all the service breaks it was important to stay focused,†Norrie said. “I tried to hit my service shots and stay physical and focused, and I managed to get over the line.â€
Norrie will play Dominic Cotrone of South Florida on Friday. …
