DMN: Can anyone challenge Josh Carraway as top frog on the TCU roster?

It’s time to finish off the roster rankings.

Picking out 25 players on this TCU roster to rank was quite the task. We gave it our best shot this week, and now cap the series with Nos. 5-1 below. This full list includes names of early enrollees from the 2016 recruiting class.

5. Kenny Hill / junior / quarterback / Just how good is Hill? For an evaluation of how the former Texas A&M quarterback has done in the TCU program since his transfer, Gary Patterson had this to say to Carlos Mendez of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram recently: “He’s been awesome.” While the starting job isn’t guaranteed to go to Hill, he certainly makes the best case for it on paper. The former Southlake Carroll star started the first eight games of the 2014 season at A&M, including a school-record performance (511 yards) in the opener against South Carolina. He finished with 2,649 passing yards and 23 touchdowns, but a three-game losing streak cost him the starting job. With the weapons at his disposal in Fort Worth, Hill — if he is to be the starter — could be primed for a return to the national spotlight. Right now, though, he is still in a competition with Foster Sawyer for that starting job. …
