Today’s U: TCU has plenty of options in post-Doctson era
For the first time in three years, Josh Doctson will not be TCU’s leading receiver.
Since his sophomore season, Doctson was the go-to guy for the Horned Frogs. While Trevone Boykin’s absence at quarterback may take some time to get fully adjusted to considering his dominance at the position, there’s little to argue that Doctson’s act isn’t just as difficult to follow.
Had both Boykin and Doctson played in the team’s bowl game, there would be a little more to prove both’s comparative worth to the team. But as it stands, they were two of the best at their position in the nation last season.
So with two of the most accomplished players in team history leaving, questions about TCU’s roster are met with relative but hopeful uncertainty. …
