FWST: TCU completes sweep at Wichita State with 12-5 victory

WICHITA, Kan. – TCU scored six runs in the fifth inning and went on to beat Wichita State 12-5 on Sunday afternoon, completing a sweep of the three-game nonconference series.
Horned Frogs freshman Dalton Horton (4-0) allowed a run on two hits and struck out four in six innings.
Evan Skoug’s home run in the top of the fourth gave TCU (22-5) a 2-0 lead in the fourth, but a home run for the Shockers (9-19) made it 2-1.
TCU, No. 9 in the USA Today coaches poll, sent 11 batters to the plate in the fifth to build the lead to 8-1. Wichita State scored three runs in the ninth after a four-run TCU eighth made it 12-2. …
