Endzonescore: Trevone Boykin to workout for Atlanta Falcons
By far, Texas Christian University quarterback Trevone Boykin is one of the most interesting players available in this year’s NFL Draft. Which makes the news of the Atlanta Falcons interest in the player even more curious. The Falcons will hold a workout for Boykin on April 12.
Boykin was one of the most exciting players to watch in his few seasons with the Horned Frogs, but finished his career at TCU on a negative note. On December 31, Boykin was arrested very early in the morning after getting in a bar fight that ended with the athlete punching a police officer. The arrest resulted in Boykin being suspended for the team’s finale, the Alamo Bowl, in which they defeated Oregon in triple-overtime, 47-41.
“Just look through my college career, and you’ll only find that one mistake,†Boykin said of the arrest. “It’s not going to be easily overcome, but it’s something that you have to take on with a straight mind and just own up to it. Know that you made the wrong decision, and keep pushing forward.†…
