SAN ANTONIO — The TCU men’s and women’s track and field teams concluded competition at the inaugural Ricardo Romo Invitational in San Antonio on Saturday.

Overall, the Horned Frogs placed first in five events.

Senior Brianna McGhee recorded the fastest time in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking in at a wind-aided time of 13.29. McGhee has taken first place in back-to-back meets to open the 2016 outdoor season.

In the men’s 100-meter dash, freshman Darrion Flowers recorded a first-place time of 10.54.

Freshman Kirsten Johnston led the pack in the 3000 meters as she crossed the finish line at 10:09.52, placing first.

In the final event of the meet, the men’s 4×400 relay team of seniors Joshua Washington, Sam Watts, Ronnie Baker and junior Raymond Bozmans recorded a time of 3:09.58. The quartet’s time was good for third place.

Field events saw seniors Makena Schroder and Megan Smith earn third in the javelin and discus, respectively.

Up next, TCU will compete at the Texas Relays in Austin on Thursday, March 31. The three-day meet will conclude on Saturday, April 2.
