DESOTO—In just the seventh year of participating in the fifteen-year old program, DeSoto High School students are proving their worth to the Texas Christian University’s Community Scholars program.
On March 24, seven (7) more DeSoto students were named to the Community Scholars program at TCU – earning them each a $250,000 scholarship for a total of $1.75 million! Forty-two DeSoto students have earned this scholarship over the past six years.
The students were sequestered in the senior suite the morning of March 24. As they entered the DHS courtroom full of campus staff and counselors along with TCU representatives on hand to present the awards, parents’ and students’ eyes filled with tears at the realization that the perseverance and hard work had paid off! …
