DMN: Gary Patterson overwhelmed by statue planned in his honor at TCU

TCU football head coach Gary Patterson will have a statue unveiled outside Schollmaier Arena on April 2, along with TCU greats Davey O’Brien and Dutch Meyer.
Asked about it Thursday, he seemed a little overwhelmed.
“To be honest with you, not dead and not retired,†Patterson said. “I’m humbled somebody would want to do it, the university would want to do it for me. We’ve got football games to win.†…
