TCU Defeats Texas State
SAN DIEGO, Calif. — The No. 37 TCU women’s golf team concluded play Wednesday at the San Diego State March Mayhem with a 3-2 victory over Texas State.
The Horned Frogs split their four contests and finished 10th overall at the match-play event.
Brooke McDougald (2&1), Kelly McGovern (4&2) and Brooke Graebe (4&3) won matches Wednesday for the Horned Frogs.
McDougald had three birdies in her 17 holes of play. McGovern recorded three birdies in a four-hole stretch and totaled a team-high four on the day in just 16 holes. Graebe carded an eagle on the 18th hole, closing her front nine, while adding two birdies.
McGovern went 4-0 at the tournament, while McDougald and Graebe were 3-1.
TCU returns to action April 1 at the SMU Dallas Athletic Club Invitational.
