Tribune-Review: Pitt has it good, but Dixon can do better

ST. LOUIS – After steadfastly standing by his basketball coach, Pitt’s first-year athletic director Scott Barnes offered some advice Friday night.
“How about you get some perspective?†he said.
Some is all that was necessary, actually.
Jamie Dixon can do better than Pitt.
Some people would have you believe otherwise. They’re the ones who took to social media while Pitt was leading Wisconsin in a hard-to-watch/harder-for-the-Panthers-to-lose NCAA Tournament game.
One team blew a 12-point lead. Neither team scored 50 points. Both teams appeared to function as though only half of “Hoosiers†had been filmed, just the part where Gene Hackman’s Norman Dale character never permitted the boys to practice shooting basketballs.
It was ugly at Scottrade Center. …
