FWST: TCU’s Ronnie Baker breaks 60-meter record at NCAA Championships

Ronnie Baker ran a world-leading time of 6.47 on Saturday to successfully defend his 60-meter title at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala.

Baker broke the record of 6.51 set by Jacoby Ford of Clemson in 2009. His time also surpassed Jamaica’s Asafa Powell (6.49) on the 2016 world list and is the fastest low-altitude time in NCAA history.

The TCU men finished 18th with 12 points. …
