FWST: TCU coach continues to see hard effort in Frogs despite losse

TCU lost again on the road this week. But there was more to the 79-54 final against Kansas State than the score indicated.

Coach Trent Johnson saw things in the box score that showed evidence of the Horned Frogs’ competitive level in rebounds and taking care of the ball.

“You look at the 34-30 on the glass, 11 assists, 12 turnovers for us,” he said. “We’ve gotten better in those areas.”

TCU lost the rebounding battle by four to Kansas State. But in the previous game, Baylor won the rebounding battle by 24. Kansas, Oklahoma State and West Virginia have also outrebounded the Frogs by double digits. …
