The Woodlands Villager: Former Oak Ridge star Baker off to scorching start for TCU

Simply put, Luken Baker is having an absolute blast playing college baseball right now.
The former Oak Ridge star and 2015 Gatorade National High School Player of the Year is off to a scorching start for the No. 9 TCU Horned Frogs, who were in town this past weekend for the Houston College Classic at Minute Maid Park.
It was a special few days for Baker, a true freshman who chose the college route instead of turning professional after his senior year of high school. He was selected by the Houston Astros in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft last summer, but made it clear beforehand that he intended to honor his commitment to the Horned Frogs.
That choice, according to Baker, has been validated many times over. …
